What is PNC-27?

PNC-27 (HDM2-targeting chimeric anticancer peptide) is a 32-amino acid chimeric peptide (HDM2-binding + penetratin). Chimeric peptide combining an HDM2 (human double minute 2)-binding domain with a penetratin cell-penetrating sequence. Proposed mechanism: binds membrane-associated HDM2 overexpressed on cancer cell surfaces, disrupting p53-HDM2 interaction and inducing selective cancer cell membranolysis while sparing normal cells.
