What is HMG?

HMG (Human Menopausal Gonadotropin (FSH+LH)) is a Purified urinary glycoprotein (FSH + LH). Purified urinary gonadotropin preparation with both FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone) receptor-activating activity. FSH-R activates Sertoli cells and ovarian granulosa cells; LH-R (LHCGR) activates Leydig cells and corpus luteum. Used in ART, hypogonadism, and reproductive endocrinology research.
